Of all the events of my early childhood few have shaped who I am today as much as this one, the day the Macintosh said “hello”. I was only 8 when my dad brought home our first 128k Mac. I can’t tell you how much time I spent at that computer making stuff, learning, and playing games. Always swapping disks in and out as it asked for them. I still have that original Mac. My dad recently gave it to me. It’s yellowed with age and I can’t find the mouse but it still fires up. It really has been like a friend to me all these years.
